Another PC Upgrade!

Since the last PC upgrade post, I got a new motherboard and CPU, as mentioned on the Specs page. Since that time, I added liquid cooling to the Graphics card since the water blocks for 2080TIs were on clearance. That added a number of problems since my single 280mmx30mm radiator was no longer sufficient to deal with the heat. Thanks to a great year at work that has made it very difficult to produce content, I was able to update my liquid-cooling solution to be more appropriate. There are now two 360mm radiators providing cooling to the GPU and CPU, […]

Channel Update

I’ve been gone for a long time. The TL;DR of this video and post is that I am coming back, but don’t expect a regular schedule or anything like that. Pandemics are crazy times to be alive. My family and I have come this far pretty much unscathed, and now that we are vaccinated and things are opening up our lives are beginning to look a lot more normal. It’s an odd thing to work in the live entertainment business at a time when it is impossible to do live entertainment. Thankfully, I am still employed and we have not […]

Upgrading the PC

I love PC building. It started ages ago when I was stuck gaming on a MacBook from 2007 with World of Warcraft and Eve Online running in potato mode and my best friend gave me an old Dell that I was able to put an EVGA 9600GT graphics card in. My eyes were opened to the glory of PC gaming even on low end hardware. Several years and computers later, it’s time for another upgrade. This new build is going to reuse several components from my existing build in order to save some money. That means the list of new […]

New Video! Approaching Heathrow in the fog.

In this video, we fly the Flight Factor A320U into London Heathrow. Weather, when planning and starting descent, was fine for an RNAV approach but then the metar updated and all the visibility was gone. We execute a go-around and shoot a CATIII ILS approach and landing. xEnviro’s low visibility is incredible.

Let’s talk about that SSG747-8v2.

The much anticipated SSG 747-8 V2 was released a few days ago and immediately came under heavy fire from the community (at least the vocal parts of the community) for being a buggy and incomplete mess. I’m not sure that’s 100% fair but let’s dive in and see where things stand in the release version. Hopefully, in the not too distant future I’ll get to review it again after some updates, but what would you get today if you spent your $65 to purchase the aircraft? This review will be organized and scored based on my review guidelines which can […]
